Centrify named Leader again in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management

We are pleased to announce that this is the third consecutive time that Centrify has been recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for PAM, following the inaugural 2018 edition as well as in the 2020 report. Evaluation by Gartner was already commenced before the announcement of Thycotic and Centrify merging in March 2021, so the companies were evaluated separately.
Centrify stated that their position as a Leader in the PAM market can be attributed to a world-class customer experience as well as integration with commonly-used security, DevOps, and ITSM tools. Their understanding is that Gartner recognizes their rich history in directory bridging, as well as their innovation in machine authentication including their Delegated Machine Credentials capabilities.
Gartner describes the current PAM market as intensely competitive, in part because of the large number of players within the space. The reason for the competition and the growth of the market stems from increased security awareness regarding the importance of PAM solutions, compounded by the heightened awareness of privileged users working remotely triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
